3-Day Mount Meru Climb

Duration: 3 Days / 2 Nights
Destination: Mount Meru – Arusha National Park
Trek Type: Guided Hut-Based Trekking
Starting Point: Arusha

A Quick Summit Trek on Tanzania’s Second-Highest

This 3-Day Mount Meru Climb is ideal for trekkers seeking a challenging but shorter alternative to Kilimanjaro. Rising to 4,566 meters (14,980 ft), Mount Meru offers striking views, volcanic ridges, lush forests, and a real wilderness feel—with far fewer crowds.

The trail begins inside Arusha National Park, where trekkers may encounter giraffes, buffaloes, and monkeys even before the ascent begins. You’ll overnight in rustic mountain huts, summit at sunrise, and descend through dramatic crater views and alpine scenery.

Mount Meru is also a great acclimatization trek before attempting Kilimanjaro.
