ποΈ Lemosho Route β 8 Days to the Summit
Route Type: Camping Route (Tent Accommodation)
Duration: 8 Days / 7 Nights on Mountain
Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging
Starting Point: Londorossi Gate (Western Approach)
Ending Point: Mweka Gate
Remote, Scenic & Highly Successful
The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as Kilimanjaroβs most beautiful trail. Beginning on the western slopes of the mountain, this route offers a remote and less-crowded start, merging later with the Machame Route to complete a scenic, well-paced ascent.
The 8-day version allows for superior acclimatization, which dramatically increases summit success rates. Trekkers are rewarded with stunning views, diverse ecosystems, and quieter trails, especially during the early days of the hike.
Ideal for trekkers who want both a visual feast and a serious chance of reaching Uhuru Peak comfortably.
