Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Udzungwa Mountains

  • Early transfer by road from Dar (approx. 6–7 hrs) or Mikumi (1.5 hrs)

  • Scenic drive through highland villages and lush valleys

  • Afternoon arrival and optional short forest walk or cultural visit
    Accommodation: Forest-edge lodge near park gate

  • Early morning guided trek to Sanje Falls (moderate to challenging; ~4–6 hours round trip)

  • Hike through tropical forest, passing multiple viewpoints

  • Swim in natural plunge pools and enjoy a picnic lunch at the top

  • Return in the afternoon and relax at the lodge

  • Optional gentle nature walk to learn about plant life, birds, and insects
